SUMMARY:The Athchogain De Service of Contemplation
DESCRIPTION:The Athchogain De\nAt 6:00 p.m. on the Second Sunday of each month\, East Redland Anglican offers “The Athchogain De Service”. The Athchogain De is a time of meditation and contemplation based on the Celtic spiritual tradition. This will be a non-eucharistic service which combines meditative silence\, the simplicity of utterance\, and a place where we can “ruminate” on the word of God as a part of the lives of the Celtic Saints. \nThe Athchogain De Service will draw from the liturgical traditions of Lindisfarne and Northumbria\, and the music at these services is contemplative\, lively and haunting. The prayers are at once earthy\, holy and inclusive. All are welcome at this service. \nPlease do not worry about “doing it right.” The important thing is simply that you know that God welcomes you\, and there is no telling how God might reach you.  Just be open to the possibility of encounter God in the silence.

DESCRIPTION:Illuminate is a new bible study group at East Redland Anglican lead by The Rev. Cameron Freese. \nWe are currently engaging in a Study on the ministry of Blessing and how we might be able to develop ministry in this area through the Local Houses of Prayer Network. \nPlease join us the 2nd and 4th Thursday’s of the month at 6pm at St Paul’s Cleveland. \nThe Blessings Course (the original Ffald y Brenin Version) is a 7-session course where understanding and experience flourish together. Working in a group session enables you to learn better\, laugh together and rejoice together\, practice together\, making friends and deepening fellowship. It is preferably run weekly\, but fortnightly is possible. \nThe Blessings Course is intensely practical. Key Subjects include: \nTHE GOD WHO BLESSES/ Grasping the goodness of God \nBEING BLESSED/ Our Personal Discovery of Foundational Truth \nCALLED TO BLESS/ The Priestly Role of Every Christian \nBLESSING/ The Person in Front of Me \nBLESSING/ The Land \nBLESSING/ Areas\, Regions\, Nations \nBLESSING/ A New Life and a New Community \nBy the end of the course you should expect to be more confident in your personal relationship with the Lord; enjoying the experience of his blessing on your life; and effective at blessing others through words as well as deeds.
