Bible Studies

There are several small groups that meet regularly for Bible study, fellowship and discussion at parishioners’ homes and at the various worship centres. These groups offer warm and supportive environments where people can lead, participate or just sit quietly and observe. We have a mixture of Women’s, Men’s, Combined & Youth Bible Study Groups. Check out the Church calendar for times and locations or contact the Parish Office for more details.

Pastoral Care & Home Communion

Prayer lists are maintained in each worship centre so that congregations may collectively pray for the health and well being of those on the lists. To have your name, or that of a loved one, placed on our prayer lists please contact the parish office. Home communion is also offered to people of our parish who are elderly, frail, sick or recovering from an operation and unable to get to church for a while. We also visit the local nursing homes to lead services. For further details please contact the Parish office.

Christian Meditation

The Christian meditation group meets weekly on Friday at 09:30 in Old St Paul’s Church, Cleveland. We are affiliated to the World Community for Christian Meditation (WCCM). Each week we share a little from the writings of the ‘masters’, and we enjoy 20 minutes of silence. We have access to the CD’s and other teaching that comes to us from the WCCM.

This is a place of prayer and silence, but also of community and we trust that you will feel wrapped in the warmth of our fellowship and blessed as you journey with us in pursuing a more contemplative way of life.

While we meet weekly, we endeavour to grow in our daily practice of meditation. It is a journey and THE important thing is that we are on the road, despite our many set backs and difficulties. Come as you are and as you are able. You will always be very welcome. For more details contact the Parish Office.

RE Scripture & School Chaplaincy

East Redland parish supports the valuable work of RE Scripture teachers and local school Chaplains to minister to children of all ages, faiths, and backgrounds in a school community grounded by the values and traditions of the Church. Chaplains develop and lead school worship, provide pastoral care, develop and teach religious studies classes, and often coordinate or lead service learning and community service initiatives. It is a profound ministry that truly serves Christ. For further details please contact the parish office or contact the Anglican Church of Southern Queensland on 07 385 2222 or at their website.
