Hearts & Whiskers: A Service of Remembrance
On Sunday 5th of October, we are focussing on St Francis of Assisi in the final part of our Seasons of Creation celebrations. St Francis viewed God’s presence and goodness throughout all of creation, inspiring a deep love and reverence for nature as a reflection of the Creator.
In that spirit, on 3pm at St Paul’s Cleveland, we will offer a short service of remembrance and thanks for our beloved pets who have passed away and still hold a place in our hearts, recognising that companion animals are a part of our family and mourning their deaths is different for everyone.
More information to come shortly.
Please bring along a small keepsake or a photo of your pet – they will form a part of our remembrance service.
There will be a retiring collection to support the work of Pets in the Park. Pets In The Park provides free veterinary care to pets of people experiencing homelessness across Australia. For those facing tough times, their pets are family – offering unconditional love, companionship, and hope. But accessing even basic pet care can be a huge struggle. With the help of volunteer veterinary professionals and generous supporters, the Pets in the Park program ensures these cherished animals stay healthy and loved, while easing the burden on their owners – helping to protect the unbreakable bond between pets and their people. https://www.petsinthepark.org.au/
