CHILD PROTECTION INFORMATION

The parish of East Redland Anglican takes seriously the safety of children. Our ordained and lay leaders are all trained in child protection and we have systems in place to make the church a safe environment for all people. If a person is aware of an instance of sexual or other abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, that person is required to report it to the police. If however someone reports such abuse to the rector, he will immediately report the information to Office of Safe Ministry.

The Anglican Church of Southern Queensland’s Office of Professional Standards has produced a number of resources that cover a variety of topics to do with Child protection. By following the link below, you will find the policies and documents that deal with making a complaint about sexual harassment, sexual assault or inappropriate sexual behaviour, risk management, training, the ACSQ code of conduct, and an application for redress.
